Is this not a more common problem with all cars as they get older with the lines getting blocked or backed up? I have never kept any car long enough but I have heard about this problem from all makes.
Wanted to get an update on the leak, anyluck with Lexus? I'm in the same situation as you. How many miles on your car? And is a tsb all I need? No charge from the dealer?
Thanks

Update...got my car back carpet cleaned and dried and all padding has been replace with new padding. No cost to me all covered under warranty. I'm happywith the the results. I just hope it doesn't happen again.
I have ~42K miles.
Also had LT & RT Interior Garnish Pillars replaced @ no charged.
Hi teemunz,
I hope I am that lucky, I'm about 9 days out of warranty. I'm a second owner of the vehicle, without any extended warranties bought at the time. I've got approx. 68K on the car. Am I out of luck? Not sure how TSB's are handled, are they owner or dealer responsibility in terms of money?
They replaced the padding between the carpet and the car? Any smells? I'm getting a slight damp/moldy/mildew smell when first getting into the car, but goes away after driving a while.
Thanks for any info.
Also, did you print or bring any TSB documents into the dealer? I couldn't find anything online to print out. Got any additional info for me, in case my service advisor plays stupid?

No smell, they shampooed and cleaned the carpet and air dry it. All/any padding below carpet was removed/replaced. I didn't have any paperwork or TSB to reference. My service guy said he knows exactly what is was.
You might want to bring it to your local dealer anyway and inform them is this known issue. Sorry man I'm really not sure how these things work with 2nd owners and stuff.
I had the same problem. Theres a white canister behind the nav screen that releases or holds water for the a/c. I forget what the tech term is but thats what it basically does. Anyway mine was in the shop 4 times before the fig out what it was. I would check there. My front and back floor mats would be soak and wet but only when the a/c was ran high or for a long period of time. Park the car turn the a/c on and let it run. After 5 or 10 mins if you dont see a puddle underneath the car then youve found your problem.
No luck, if you're out of warranty they won't pick up the tab. Its the customers responsibility out of pocket at that point.
This is what I don't understand regarding TSB's.
- I had the dashboard creak, and the rear view mirror motor all done in March of this year. I was already not under warranty. In fact, when I bought the car I was out of warranty. They replaced and performed all those items at No charge.
Why is this one different? The story the advisor told me was that because certain parts of the car are covered under a TSB but only up to a certain mileage. And this one is not covered because I have approx. 63600 miles.
Is this true? I've never understood TSB's?
Any of the Lexus tech's on here help out? I was given a price of $110 an hour to diagnose the problem. And I wouldn't even know how long or how much it would be to fix. So I pulled the car back out.
