puddle lights dont go off?
I promise I am dedicating all day tomorrow to reading the owners manual. Im just too lazy and tired now.
I just got my car today. Locked it using the smart key feature where you just touch the button on the handle... I love this feature. I heard it lock behind me so I went upstairs. 2 hours later I went down and it was still locked, but the puddle lights were on (Still?).
So I took the fob out of my pocket and hit the lock button and the lights finally went off.
whats up with this?

puddle light at the bottom of the side mirrors
cashoveras, as soon as walk close to the car with the key, the car will sense the key is close by and the puddle light will light up

thanks for the input. Thats what I was figuring but as soon as I opened my garage they were on. So it must have sensed me like 4 or 5 feet away and through the wall. Thats good!

if you want to make sure, park and lock your car, wait till 10 secs (so the alarm is on) and walk away and make sure puddle light not on
and then approach the car and see where the light comes on?

Or leave the key upstairs after you lock it, then open the garage door and see.

I couldn't fit in the fridge to see if the light went out so I used my 3 yo nephew. The light goes out and he is still laughing about it.
