My garage is dark until I get in the car and push the button to open the garage door. I of course don't lock the car when it's in my own garage, so can the puddle lights be set to come on whether the car is locked or unlocked?

 

Not to sound like a ****, but locking your car seems like an easy solution.

 

I think mine do when I have my key on me

 

Just lock the doors. Easy solution

 

other option, install a night light in the garage to provide enough light so you don't bang into things

 

It could be a car setting that your dealer or CARISTA can set up. I don't know for sure but the car being locked while I walk towards it or a remote unlock are the only two ways I know that will turn it on.

 

I don't think there's a setting to enable the puddle lights when approaching the vehicle and it's already unlocked. But as I was looking thru the manual, I think you can hit the unlock button on the remote and that might activate the puddle lights too.

 

You probably need a Mercedes BMW or Audi as they allow a lot more customization setting than those Japanese car
