Thumbs up Voice commands work perfect!

Other than changing the temperature with voice commands, I haven't had much opportunity to use the voice input on my 2008 GS350. The other day, I started trying to input addresses and use the navi through voice input.

After all of the complaining on this forum about how the voice input never works, I was very pleasantly surprised. It recognized my voice input every time. So far it is running at 100% accuracy. I'm pleased as punch with it.

I have to echo what steverhode said. I tried words like "peninsula" and "appaloosa"...no problem. My accuracy is 100% as well. I do have Gen 5, version 7.1, if that makes a difference.

Default i am using mine all the time

I also am surprised at how well it works. I'm getting a ton of use out of it inputting addresses and dialing by name and by number.
I think its great its one of my favorite things about my gs450h

I agree that typing is faster, but 1) I wanted to try the voice input and 2) sometimes you start driving and then realize you need to input an address.

we have much better luck with dial by number than address via voice. wouldn't want to be without the unlock kit for typing in addresses. maybe we just slur too much

I just try the address command, I am very surprise that it work on the 1st tried. Prior to this, I had a hard time just getting the voice command to perform a temperature up operation. I tried a couple of not so common street names and it regonzined it the 1st time. This is a great tool, now I dont have to stop the car to enter in address.
