I don't use the VR much, but I can "Suspend Guidance" by saying "Popeye".

I'll have to try that one. Everytime I ask for something it lists golf courses or Pizza locations. Temp. up and down generally seem to work but overall I just don't use it. VM is an intriging idea that just needs some time to decide what makes sense vs. *****. It's kind of like the BMW I-Drive, technically interesting but not practical for everything. The Dashboard/Functions are still an evolving device across the board.

Ditto here. VR works ok, but it's almost always quicker on the GS to use the buttons. By the time the audio is muted, and the beep is heard, I could have pushed most buttons 3 times. The only time I bother with VR is when I'm in particularly viscious traffic and just don't want to take my eyes off the road. I'm just now beginning to experiment with entering destinations by voice, and that may be one one of the few VR functions I can actually make use of.

All I can say is, if you say the command exactly as it is shown in the manual, 99% of the time it works fine for me.

I find it usefull while driving for changing the tempature of the AC, going back to map view, turing off all POI on the NAV, just to name a few.

Once isn't a good test- You may want to try it again. It gets my commands right > 90% of the time. The only glitches are with spoken numbers.
