Here's the LS600hL smart key Notice the blue accent logo significant of all Hybrid models. This smart key was linked to my friend's IS350.

woa, thats crazy... key as an keychain for other keys?

I dont get it - why dont they offer it here (Europe)? I can pretty much guarantee 50% sell-through rate with Rav4 and 100% with new LC200's.

On average, people spend 2k-5k USD on extra accessories for Rav4, at least 50% would pay $500 for this (its $380 in Japan).

Correct. This specific key card comes from an LS600hL, notice the blue accent on the logo.

Since smart key access allows you to lock and unlock the door, unlock/lock button on the key card is unnecessary.

how about trunk? I use that often..... and how about panic button?

I guess I use them in the order questioned.

If I purchased those.... would my current ones work as well.... or would these two ones take the place of, and my old ones then become unusable because of the way of programming?

You know you can open the trunk by pressing the button near the license plate light just by carrying the remote or key card in your pocket?

Panic button? I don't know about that...

of course I do, but it is nice to when you have your hands full press the trunk and have it be opened when you get there.

Anyone know about this option on the LSh key fob?

I might not get it if I can't open the trunk.

I also find it annoying that I cannot open the car from a distance....
does that also mean I cannot roll down the windows and open the sunroof with this new fob??

questions, questions, questions....

someone give me answers.

your questions are exactly the reason why i don't think this key card is used to replace your main keys. This should be more of a temporary solutions when you know you are going out to a party or gym when you obviously just need access to the car and NOT using the trunk, roll down window and what not.

throw this in the gym bag and off you go instead of carrying a huge key. i don't know about you guys, i still personally prefer turning the key and hear the engine roar. don't get too picky about this obviously-just-for convenience little device.

Since it doesn't have any buttons it's very obvious that the functions that come with the buttons cannot be activated.

No rolling down windows, no opening trunk/locking/unlocking doors from a distance and no panic button.

Actually if you follow the group buy link, this is all answered. No panic button, no trunk realise, no door unlock bottons. According to Lexus, this card is NOT designed to replace the regular fob. Just an option if you are willing to give up being able to unlock/lock doors/trunk from distance and panic button for the convinience of carrying a card in the wallet.
