No go for the card
Called my lexus dealership today and they require a Vin#. Does anyone know how I can get around this? I am willing to Pay 50 bucks over the cost of the key.

We actually have the "crown" watch on hand. Long story short, yes it will work, but you would be required to purchase the Certification ECU for Asian models (mounted in the trunk and receives the signal from your SMART access key). If memory serves, the cost of the ECU was about $600 plus the cost of the watch about $500. The primary issue with replacing the ECU, is it would now make any of your existing programmed fobs null and void.

The smart card does work. I've seen it in action on my friends 2IS a few weeks ago.
