Default Turn OFF DRL

Is there an easy way to completely turn off the DRL? I want to have them off but keep on the city lights during the day. Any possiblities without bringing it into the dealer? I was also considering making the fog lights the DRL, any ideas??

For the DRL, just bring it to the dealer. It's in your owner's manual as an option.

As far as fog lights, it's only on when the headlights on as well. You could probably hardwire another switch if you want to.

I had my DRL turned off at the dealer, just tell them that in the manual is allows you to have it off. Unless you live in Canada, then it is required by law to have it on.

I also tried to have parking light with fog light on, dealer will not do it for you. Your new vehicle warranty will be VOID, due to cutting the wirings and inwhich would damage the computer.

If your dealer says they don't know how to do it, here it is:

Why do you want the DRL lights off? So you can stalk someone at night without the DRL light on, but you want the engine running with AC because you're overheating? It's a safety feature so other cars can see you during sun glare, why would you want it off unless you were ready to do some "spy" work.

Also, doesn't the foglight have more draw than then DRL? Why would you want to drag on your battery the foglights, if you don't want the DRL in the first place?

Some people just prefer their cars to be that way, chill.

The majority of cars on the street still don't have mandatory DRL's, do you call those road hazards or spy cars?

and about the DRL's......had em turned off at the dealer too. i hate em on any car. they look stupid. everytime i see a GS (or any Lexus for that matter) i look at the lights to see if they had em turned off.

It's just light in general that's more noticeable.

You could have your HID on and it would do the same thing as DRL.

I'm sure a lot don't have air bags either, but that doesn't mean they're still safe to be on the road. I'm just making a note that certain things are here for a reason, even if they are not mandatory.

I'm so misunderstood...

ha ha... chillin' now...
