DIY - GS fog light replacement
#76
Sorry if this question has been answered, but I haven't found the info on the forum yet. So if it's a waste of your time, please disregard. What bulbs are people using on the 3GS for yellow fog lights? I had the PIAA ion yellows in mind, but haven't found any for sale that are listed for an '09. Am I just not looking enough, or is there a simple option? Thanks.

I purchased a similar HID kit from them and they work great. You will get better light output from HID and a 3000k bulb will be yellow.

Lex56, thanks for the info. I had already installed a set of LED fogs in my GS. But I went with the projector LED bulbs. I bought those and a set identical to the ones you installed. I put your LED in one fog light and the projector in the other. The Lumen difference is unbelievable. Way higher than stock. But once installed, it dropped some due to the cap that covers the bulb in the housing. If anyone on here is looking for usable light output in the fogs without HID, you can but the LED 6000k projector bulbs on ebay. They are identical to the normal LED bulbs. The only issue is you have to disassemble the fog light housing and remove the cap that covers the stock 9006 bulb. Looking into the bulb, it uses a phillips head screw to hold the cap on. I just haven't had time to remove it. So I will look into checking the fog light to see if it needs to be baked and separated, or if it can just be taken apart. If i get to it soon, i will let you all know.
