Default Help- Touchscreen doesnt work!

Hello All,
Im sure most of you know me as the guy whos been complaining for the last month because I had to wait for the GS, however I picked it up today!!! Pics to come later... Love it so far, but about 5 minutes ago my screen shut off on me and doesnt come back on... it came on a few times and shows the language and I agree screen, but doesnt allow me to press I agree... I touched it a hundred times where it says i agree and it wont do anything rather it just shuts off in a few seconds to not come back on - and then when it does come back on it does the same thing.... I breifed through the manual and couldnt find anything right away so I came here!!! Hopefully someone knows enough to help me... Thanks in advance guys...

I would say take it back to where you got it from and let them handle it... It seems like it's defective....

Pull the fuse or disconnect your battery to let it reset for a minute and try it again.

Yeah it sounds pretty busted. At first I thought you just turned off
the screen, but the intermittent coming back on and not allowing
you to press "I agree" is very strange. Hopefully they can make
things right. Good luck!

it may have to go back to the port to get fixed... just kidding. Definitely take it back to the dealer and let them know.

I drove it again last night... and it suddenly came on and reset the clock. It stood on for a little and then shut back off. And then turned on and off again pretty quickly. Seems like a loose connection or something. Gonna bring it in to the dealer this morning. Ill get back to you all with the findings from the dealer.

Just think, they may have to take the dash apart and he'd end up with those nasty dash rattles that I've read about... lol... It is definitely a dealer warranty issue....

maybe the main power cord the "black" one on the bottom behind the screen might be loose. It might be getting power, then losing power b/c it's loose?
jsut a thought.
I would take it back and have them fix it ASAP.

9520G.. are you talking about trading just the screen or the whole car? Your screen should be covered under warranty...right?

Took it in yesterday and of course, it was working fine when i brought it. The guy looked at it for an hour and then told me basically to bring it back whenever it happened again because he couldnt locate a problem with it. On my way home ( 28 miles from dealer ) I am about 3/4 of the way home and it magically shuts off again... Sigh... I whip that SOB around and head straight back to the dealer at about 90mph average ( break in period what? )... I get back to the dealer and he saw the magic black screen of death and switched it with one of the new gs's at the showroom and found that there was a failure in the screen. The ECU for the unit was fine just a failure in the screen. But its all good now... Except for the little scratch they made on the bottom of the glove box and a tiny mark underneath the touchscreen
Overall, just happy that its over with!
Loving the car so far!!!

If there is a scratch make sure they are aware of it so you can get it replaced under warranty since the dealer put the scratches there.
