New Navigation DVD?
I just bought my 2006 GS300 awd in June and want to know if there is a new Navigation DVD available, if not how often do they update and where do I get one? Also, what does this usually cost?

Sewell Lexus / lexus-parts.com (one of our forum sponsors) offers a great deal on this to our members.
Here's a link to a recent post in our group buy forum on this item from them.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=249157
AT your local dealer, these can be priced at up to $450

just FYI - the owners with newer 06.1 nav discs on their 07 models reported the key sequence software hack to override the nanny doesn't work anymore. so if that makes a difference to you, you might want to hold off until someone figures out the new sequence...

ddiller@sewell.com if you have any questions. he's much more knowledgable than your average parts guy.
the new 06.1 disc is available for $299 on their website:
http://www.lexus-parts.com/partdetai...bCategoryID=93
you can also get 10% off for clublexus' discount code CL911M
also, there is a rebate for 04.x version discs - i believe it's $20 if you return it after you get the new one.

Will Sewell also give us 10% off on other things such as rims?

YES and shipping is very cheap, even on large items such as trunk liners or wheels. no tax outside of TX

With a new navigation DVD, do they update things such as icons and menus or is it really just the maps that are updated ?

just maps unfortunately; the overall look and buttons on your screen don't change. they do add POI info so there might be new icons for those businesses.
