22's!!! That's way too big for the GS 300.

Do a search for "Tire pressure sensor" or "Tire pressure monitor" in the 3GS forum, and you will see many threads on this issue. I believe that under some conditions, the Lexus tech can use a scan tool to correct the problem.

why do you even ask for advice if you're not going to listen to it? obviously there is some sort of tire size limitation or else you wouldn't be having this problem.

listen to jwa and try to do a search on tire pressure. good luck.

Default 22's

To oneeyejack I have done alot of research and one I have found doesnt help. I do appreciate everyone saying what they thing will work. Although 22's in my opinion arent not to big.....to big is something that old people say.

So it seems that i need to get the thing reset every 2k miles ? thats not what I wanted to hear...is there anyway to disconnect the thing?

Default my ride

this link should take you right to my page

also I found the old post about how to trick the ECU into thinking the tires are fine. as for today I went to the dealership and he plugged his computer in and said everything looks fine and the light shut off......kind of strange that all the sensors are reading properly and the light still got tripped????? how confusing!

It has nothing to do with the size of your wheels. The issue is your TPMS is not detecting tires pressure sensors. Do you still have your OEM wheels with the tire sensors? If so, have a reputable wheel shop remove the tire sensors from your OEM wheels and install the sensors on your 22's. Another question, are your 22's tire sensor friendly? Meaning, can tire sensors be mounted onto the wheels easily (basically with the OEM fitment kit). Typically, if it's a one piece cast wheel you shouldn't have a problem but if it's a multi-piece cast/forged wheel you may need to use the stainless steel straps for the sensors.

I have custom iforged wheels and they were made tire sensor friendly. I did not remove the tire sensors from my old wheels. I purchased 4 additional sensors and fitment kits for approx. $85/ea from the dealer with a coupon. I was cool with the parts department guy and he had a technician program the sensors in as a "2nd tire" after the sensors were installed on the iforged wheels. Prior to mounting the tires I had to record the serial numbers of each tire sensor so the technician could input that data into the computer. If you don't record the serial numbers than they will have to dis-mount the tire to retrieve it. The dealers don't like doing these things and they will charge you a lot of money ($125), some dealers will even dismount and re-mount the tires even if you recorded the serial numbers.

the 22's that I have do have the sensors in them. they already had a place for the sensors. I actually took it to the dealer and they plugged in their computer and the light went off I am just hoping it stays off.
