Default Low tire indicator

My low tire light came on but looking at them I can not tell which tire it is. Is there a way to tell internally before I take it somewhere which tire is low?

Why are you taking it somewhere for a low tire warning? Anyways to answer your question, no. You need an external measuring device to measure each. Many other CL people have complained about it since many other cars in the class have a feature to tell exactly which one.

I figure it maybe a nail in a tire and it has a slow leak. I take it to a local Discount tire when I need it patched up or something

It doesn't come with a measuring device does it? If not I guess I could just pick one up

True...I believe that the sensor will turn on if it notice 20% drop in pressure in the tire am pretty sure you can tell by looking at all tire which one it is. Plus you should be checking you tire pressure every month, not just for fuel efficient, and comfort ride, but for even tire wear too. I seen at autozone a air gauge by slime that has a magnet to you can put on the inside of the gas door. slime has pretty good quality air gauges (I don't trust those pencil gauges). Yeah my Acura TSX has that feature that tells you the PSI of each tire.

Pep Boys, or Walmart, or Target, or Napa, etc. Why would you assume it's a nail, unless you keep filling it with air, and it keeps going low? Changes in the tempature can cause a change in your tire pressure. I got that a few weeks ago when overnight temps changed from the mid 50s one week, to low 30s the next. Both of my cars needed air in all 4 tires.

I always keep a pressure guage in each of my vehicles.

It is not unusual for tires to lose pressure with a cold snap. But I would think that all 4 would drop

If you have a nail, you suold be able to see it. check the visible areas and if find nada roll the car slightly and look again

No idea if it's a nail, just a possibility. This is my 1st car that has tire pressure sensors. There have been some drastic temp changes in Dallas over the past few days

probably just weather related... check all of your tires and if they are all the same psi, just reset your warning light. If you reset and it doesn't go away, or comes back on soon after you have an issue with a tire.

i had this problem... it lasted me about 3 weeks... the first time, i had some air put into my back left tire and then the tire pressure light went away... BUT then it came on a week later and this time i brought it to my local lexus dealer, they just put some air as well. AND THEN the week later, the tire pressure light came on AGAIN and i went back to lexus and they just patched it up from there. GL

Ok--but even w/o sensors, cars have the same issue. that's why they recommend checking pressure once per month.

You can read the pressures with the Lexus scantools, just not on the dash. Pretty big mistake IMHO.

I just had the light come on as well, but it was temperature related. All four were at 31 psi - still enough to drive without worry, but also enough to have the system tell me I needed to refill them.

my warning light came on yesterday afternoon, i checked my tire and i was at 21psi. I filled it with air and I thought i was good to go. Then this morning the light came on again and i was at 18psi. It is time for a new tire. I tried to wait to see if I could squeeze 2K more miles on them but that is not going to happen.
