So 2 days ago I was driving and in the morning the TPMS light came on. All tires checked okay, one was at 30 so filled it up. Tried doing a reset but nothing. I kept driving and after about 80 miles I get a yellow check engine, and the check hybrid system came on. Pulled over and it was POA7F. Hybrid battery deteriorated. The system is working perfect, I can see it charge all the way up to 6 and sometimes in the green to 8 bars. I feel the motor come on. The car didn't drive any different. I cleared the code and kept driving. Today I got another check hybrid system this time it is P0A93 inverter coolant performance. Right now I was driving, check hybrid came on and I checked and now both codes were active. I feel like the inverter pump can be the issue for both. I don’t want to spend 3-500 for a new pump so I bought one on eBay for $90
I see the reservoir for the inverter has water, my radiator is low, but it hasn't been getting over halfway.
I just bought this car, it has every option including the variable suspension stabilizing system. The previous owner said that he changed the hybrid battery about 5 months ago. I want to know if the 2 codes are related? If I have to replace the inverter pump I can do it as long as I know where it is. I just want the car to drive good since it's my daily and I drive 60 miles a day, and I want there to be no lights.
I also have issues with one headlight and the laser cruise system as well as the sonar for parking but that will be another discussion. Please chime in.
If the previous owner says he changed the hybrid battery 5 months ago then I'd ask if he has any warranty paperwork for it and then contact the supplier/fitter regarding the apparent faults in the hybrid system.
Swapping out parts on a hunch can get expensive quickly, with no guarantee of a fix, so better to get it properly checked out. Lexus do a hybrid health check relatively inexpensively over here, and so I assume they do similar over there.
Which vendor replaced the battery? They usually have an inexpensive warranty add-on that can be purchased with the replacement, and hopefully the previous owner purchased this and provided the info to you.
I would go this route first, then troubleshoot further.
