Default remote not working

Hello to everyone,
i tryied searching through the threads and found similiar issue not the same issue.
My remote is not working but it doesnt makes any sense, here is my troubleshooting
1. I found that my doors only locks from driver side
2. I replaced all of the door lock actuators and now I can lock the car from driver and passenger side no issues
3. I programmed the key fob again, did the dance with locking/unlocking and it went through
4. Last step is to hold Lock and unlock button for 2 seconds and then the lock button for one second. And it cycled once once again so it accepted the key fob
so what I found is that all of the door lock actuators are working as they should, remote is sending signal and the car is receiving the signal and reacting to it.
But when I want to lock/unlock the car with the remote nothing will happen and I cant figure out why. Also I cant open the trunk from the remote but I dont think it is related because it is different circuit.

Hello,

Does the Panic Mode function?
Does the sound buzzer function as intended?
Does the buzzer sound when the key is out of the ignition?
Do the flashers come on when you lock and unlock the car?

Make sure to check all the fuses, just in case, pay close attention to 10A DOME, 10A MPX–B, 15A RADIO NO. 2 and all the 20A Door fuses.. Here is a diagram for a US market car, yours may be different.

Here is a post about a similarly twisted issue, it was caused by the switch falling off of the key lock tumbler while stuck in Locked position. My car is older, it doesn't have Body ECUs, so an issue like described in the linked post can manifest itself differently in your car. Just check all exterior locks around the car, they should operate as a lock button on the door panel, holding the key in Locked or Unlocked position should raise and lower the windows respectively.

Next, check that the Open Door light appears for each individual door and the trunk, if not, it can be caused by a failed Courtesy Switch, which can tell the car that one of the doors is open for example.

If none of that would help, it can be caused by the Body ECU No.1 being out. There are 2 Body ECUs in that car, but the second one only provides ignition signal to the locks, so it shouldn't give issues like that.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

For the trunk not unlocking there should be a key switch by the gas lever switch ut on n off n it should work again its a valet security feature

Hey, just wanted to refresh this thread a little. I check a lot of stuff but I cant find the issue. Also I forgot to mention that my rear dome light just above rear door are not working when I open the door, but I can turn them on manully by pressing the button. It is wierd issue, because door lock works when I am in programming mode, but it is not working when i am using the car normally.

Regarding the key switch for valet security, I am able to open the trunk with the key or with the switch, I cant open it with the button on the key fob.

Did you try what's written above?
Is the Open Door indicator on the Instrument Cluster on when the door is open?

The fact that the lights don't function as intended can indicate the Body ECU failure, though it's still strange that the programming function went so smoothly. Try getting a Techstream cable, your car should already support it, see if it will help narrow down the list of potential issues.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I re-checked fuses, tryied the buzzer and it sounds when I shut the car down and open door with lights still on, other than that I cant hear no buzzer. Flashers do not come on when I lock/unlock my car. Could the reciever mounted on the C pillar be deffective ? Is tehre a way to test it ?

I forgot that not all European cars had a separate buzzer for the Wireless Door system like here in US, below is the video of a sound I was referring to. Your car likely doesn't have that, which can be a reason to why you don't hear it.

I doubt it, since the system did accept a new fob in the programming stage after all, so it is not the receiver at fault.

I would still suggest you to test the door locks on both Driver and Passenger sides, the car should indicate that it is unlocked when you turn the key, and if you turn it twice, all the doors should unlock, if not, you may be facing the same issue I had a while back, here is a thread.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Reviving this thread.
I checked everythink I could think off:
Fuses are OK and they have a 12V on them ✓
All the doors will lock and unlock when I lock/unlock the car with the key ✓
All the windows will roll down if I hold the key in unlock position ✓
The key fob is programmed and accepted ✓
The remote has a brand new battery and flashing red diod ✓
I entered programming mode and made sure that the remote is sending signal to the receiver ✓
I entered programming mode and made sure the receiver is receiving and registering the signal ✓
Checked the ECU in engine compartment that there are no lose wires or connections ✓
The car battery is brand new ✓
Trunk lock in the knee area is disengaged ✓

But there are still couple of issues:
Rear lights wont turn on when rear doors are open ✗
There is no light on dashboard indicating that rear doors are open ✗
Not even the trunk open with the remote ✗

The only think I could think off is that it have aftermarket door locks and the previous owner had Aftermarket imobilizer installed that is spliced to who knows what.
When I try ti start the car without the aftermarket imobilizer deactivated with the chip the ECU will not inject fuel (thats normal even for stock imobilizer) but also I cant see a temperature reading on the climate control, so I guess it is spliced to whatever controls that?

I would be very glad for any reply on this and it would be awesome if someone can post me a complete wiring diagram of the car.
I am now very eager to get this working, since it is the only think that is not working on the car.
