Default New actuators door lock programming issue.

Hey fellow Ladies/Gents. I have a 2000 GS300, I recently had all of my door lock actuators replaced. Now my door locks don't work. So based on my search I did the whole door open, lock/unlock dance. The car just doesn't go into programming mode. Is there an alternative way to program the door lock feature from the fob?

Yes the locks work when using the door switch.

What actuators did you replace them with? Also when your doing the reprogramming don’t use the auto door locks to lock/ unlock. Use the manual drivers door lock.

I agree with lexo98 - you need to understand the source of the replaced actuators. There are some well documented threads as to the issue with the cheap EBAY replacements that will cause the issue you have noted. Have you also verified that you have a master key to do the programming?

I would bet those actuators are the issue. I had a similar issue when I worked on mine. As noted, there is allot of documented cases regarding the cheap actuators.

The guy knows his stuff and sells rebuilt OEM actuators on ebay. I bought new ones from him and it fixed my issue. I hope this helps!

In my experience when it comes to replacement parts with these cars...it's best to have Toyota OEM parts.

Thank you for the detailed information. I will see if I can order them and install those.

Yeah they're junk. You can check my post history. I went through issues with the cheap actuators too. Just buy the OEM ones and be done with it.

Last year I purchased a similar type of actuator set on Amazon and installed them on the 3 doors that had failed - rears & driver. They all work fine but have one hiccup. When the alarm is on, if I unlock the driver door with the key, the alarm will activate. I guess these more affordable actuators don't have the advanced electronics in them like OEM. It's not a huge problem, since I now can unlock with the key FOB button which is what I was going for anyway, but interesting to note.
