Default Aftermarket actuators

Hey fellas! Ive searched but have not found the question to my answer. Has anyone ever used brand new aftermarket actuators and has had success with them? I don't want to spend 80 bucks just for a brand new one nor get a used one either because it might just start malfunctioning again. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you are talking about the door actuators, I though about that but decided to just replace the $5 motors. Most of the labor is taking them out and installing them. The motor replacement is the easy part.

If you are talking about the ventilation actuators, I would go only OEM as well because of the labor issue.

I'm using the door actuators from eBay for $16.00 dollars and still working perfectly a year later.

You have 15 years experience with the GS actuators? How long have you owned your GS?

My OEM Lexus actuators lasted less than 7 years.

be careful, know what your actuators look like. know the pin count, shape, arm location and direction they face.these chinese sellers will state its for lexus and use the clause to check if its the correct part because they KNOW its not. theres a thread on here for Door lock actuator repairs near the last 10 pages or so where theres a cheap after market for 20$ its lasted me quite a while.

I tried the $16 Chinese actuator. It did work, but the ECU did not like it - every time I clicked the remote to unlock the doors, the door lock actuators cycled twice instead of just once. So I took it out and did the more standard Mabuchi motor replacement in the original actuator. Considering all the work required to just get to the actuator, you might as well go the extra few yards and replace the motor, keeping everything else original. If your actuator is beyond repair, you might consider getting a rebuilt OEM/Mabuchi actuator from ebay.
