Default Taillight out light issue

Hi everyone, i just replaced my old faded trunk lights with these -http://www.carparts.com/details/Lexus/GS300/Spyder/Tail_Light/1999/ALT-YD-LGS98-TR-LED-RC.html spyder trunk lights, however after i installed them now the tail light out light in my dash is on. Is it possible to bypass this light at all? or is it stuck on now? thank you in advance.

If you don't mind I'll tag on and wait for a response also. Mine is on also but none of my lights are out, and I have factory lights!!!

That's the only way I've seen to permanently get rid of it. The only other way to bypass it is to use the resistor packs that usually come with LED tail lights. You could always just pull the bulb out of the cluster.

Because it's voltage based. The LED lights have a much lower energy consumption, that's why the computer thinks there is a bulb out. As long as there are LEDs in the circuit, the ecu will see that the circuit isn't using as much voltage as it is supposed to and trigger the light.

Makes sense...I got mine figured out today, it was a double filament bulb with one broken. The lights were so bright that it didn't look like any were out. Changed it out this morning, no more warning light!!

i was in a rush yesterday but quickly plugged in what i thought were resistors that came with lights to them, but the light in the dash did not go off. (though my car was running) would i need to restart the car for the light to disappear?

I'd just remove the bulb behind the cluster, it's so simple and only takes 5 minutes.
