Ok, what is it? I have a GX series 3.0 it's dash is showing an inidicator. The indicator light is located at the bottom right side of the dash. It is in the shape of a car that appears to have it's rear lights on... What is that?

I don't have an owners manual (Import) so I thought I would consult the experts....

Sounds like a brake or tail light bulb is out.

 

Thanks Dave I thought of this also, I checked the Break lights.... all good, but not the tail lights... strange thing is yesterday I passed a warrent of fitness for the car. I will check the tail lights.

 

Nope tail lights and break lights all functioning, indicators too (Didn't check reversing lights).

And now.... strange thing is I started the car just now, checked the lights, observed everything ok, then went back to turn the key off and what do you know.... the lights not on anymore.... WHAT? All day it's on and now not... come on.... what is that light?

 

did you try starting the car and then press on the brakes, and see if the warning light comes up?

scenario i can think of

1) system glitch, maybe a bulb is loose or so
2) brake light bulbs have two filaments in it. the normal one is ok, but the 2nd one that lights up when you press on the brake pedal is out

 

it's a wattage issue, especillay if you dont use OEM, its been discussed in this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-stays-on.html thread too, i have the same issue.
