Trans cooler line location

Trans cooler line location

Are these them? They look like they run all the way back and I can't think of what else they could be. The one I'm pointing to is on the passenger side and the other one you can see heading towards the driver's side. Also which is the feed? Ill take better pictures when I get under it, I didn't see any pics when looking through the transmission fluid change threads.

Figured it out, the one I'm pointing to is the return, the one on the driver's is the feed.

Replaced 10 quarts, took about 20mins with a helper.

sorry I was late to the party, but you have it correct. I have done it twice on the 02 GS300. Usually do 3 quarts at a time taking old out and refilling with same amount.

That's what I did, except in 2 quart intervals. Once we got 6 quarts out the new fluid started to show (for the most part) and we stopped at 10.

nice. You should see what a ppain in the a$$ it is to do the so called sealed trannies. Makes that job look like fun.

My dad has an 07 LS460 and was wondering how hard it would be to do it on his, doubt its anywhere near like it is for most pre 05 models.

it is similar to what you did but you use the drain bolt to drop the 2-3 quarts at a time and refill same amount through the fill hole. It is the top off procedure that is a pain. You have to jumper 2 pins on OBD and let car reach operating temp. Then you fill until fluid trickles out the overflow tube..there are write ups in the GS350 forum
