Another new guy...
Thought I would be polite and introduce myself. My name is Brandon and I'm currently living in NW Mississippi (outside Memphis). Picked up an 01 GS300 for a nice quiet daily. Needs some work but I'm working through it as fast as I can. It really is just something to get me to school and work while I work on my Acura. I don't have any plans for it currently, like I said it needs some upkeep done and few repairs but I got it for cheap so it isn't too big of a deal. If anyone is in the area feel free to hit me up.

It's not totally pic worthy, it has a dent on the hood and front bumper that need fixed asap. Also is nearly pissing oil out from the middle of the engine now. I haven't been under it yet and Im hoping it is just the oil pan gasket. Took the top timing belt cover off and it was dry in there. I figure if the VVTi gear was leaking or cams seals that area would be soaked right? The spark plug galley is damp but no puddles of oil. Timing belt looks to be in good shape, but I know it has not been done in a LONG time, so that is high on the priority list. Also the hood release cable sticks, have to push it in for the hood latch to click, like I said it needs work. I have pics of where I was investigating possible oil leaks tonight.

Don't get too frustrated bro. Just change all your gaskets as a start. Buy em OEM off sewellparts. Oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, etc. If it's STILL leaking after that then you'll need to look else where in the engine. But that should do the job. Also the rubber grommets in the spark plug holes should be replaced as well. Good luck bro! I hope your worries are resolved!
