Default A650 ug shift please

Just picked up a 03 gs300 with T76 and supporting mods. Loving the car but good grief this transmission is killing me. I have been a turbo auto guy for 12 years and love the motto "no lift to shift" but this lack of shifting is KILLING this cars performance and driving me insane.

Ok vent mode off
Is there a vendor selling Shift Kits?
I intend to contact Jeff and get some insights but after much searching and reading I'm just not seeing a kit for the A650e.

Looking to make 550-600 once I get this trans sorted out.
I absolutely love the potential of this car

There isnt any shift kit like you would find on a domestic car for these. Its not just a box of springs and rods you can buy and slap in there yourself. You need to actually send the valve body in to get modified for the quicker shift. The internal passages are modified. I had Jeff mod my transmission but you need the transmission internals upgraded at the same time or else you will blow up the internals with the harder shifts. Is you transmission still all stock? My IS300 is making probably well over 700hp now with no issues with the built trans.

Ty for the quick reply. Yes the trans is stock with cooler added.
I have experience over the years modding the trans in my DSM (Talon). Shift kit, modify ports, and clutch pack upgrades.
From the little I have found the two trans share the same weakness with the addition of the Sprag failures of the A650e. I see Jeff has done extensive R&D on this transmission which I'm very greatful for.

What is needed to handle 600hp on the A650?
As I understand VB upgrades/ increased line pressure and Sprag (which?)
Is upgraded Cultch pack needed for this power level?

Thanks in advance
Jonathan

Couldn't you wire up the suprastick transmission controller as a shift kit? I know I will be getting in contact with jeff myself to have my transmission built as well but I was also looking into that module for a shift kit.

Not familiar with the superstick, the shift points really isn't my concern. It may help with line pressure but I don't think that will be enough for 550-600 HP.
I'm wanting to know the if the A650 can be modified to handle my goals and what the steps are to get there.

I know jeff tsai has modified the A650 to handle that power and on his daily gs is around 800whp. I been reading even the stock A650 can handle 500hp long as you have a good transmission cooler, and let off the gas between shifts like jeff mentioned.

I think even with his built transmission he still lets off to shift.

Anyone who can help shed some light on my trans issue I'm having would be greatly appreciated. I just recently build and dynoed a 2002gs430. Putting down 453rwhp at 11 psi. the only trans mods is I adjusted the factory line pressure screw up three notches on the driv. side of valve body and running a hayden trans cooler. highway driving the temps. average 130f. last couple of days I discovered that if im at a light and I take off, it'll hit first and second but then if I stay in it the trans doesn't wanna shift it'll just redline i'll let off and it does fine. the rest of the drive to work no issues. I've pulled the trans stick and no burning clutch material smell and no trans codes. is this normal for the a650e? does it just not wanna shift when twice as much power as stock is getting thrown at it? what are my chances of this trans actually lasting or do I need to plan on ditching this turbo kit b/c im just not gonna spend any more money on this car. im already so far into it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know that most of the people with supercharged gs400/430's would have to let off the gas in between shifts otherwise it would just keep bouncing off the rev limiter. This was with the upgraded valve body. This would be right around the 400whp range. Maybe it has something to do with that.
What happens if you manually shift the car while accelerating?
