thanks to CL once again, a very minor issue has been resolved on my car without spending a penny. two days ago my CEL flashed up. i hooked up my actron scanner and found a P0441 EVAC code. after searching this issue on ClubLexus forums, i found the root cause. a vacuum hose was disconnected...reconnected and problem solved. now why this hose became disconnected i'll never know, but it was and reconnected solved the problem. follow the link to the CL thread below and note the hose with the green tab had become disconnected as shown on the first picture.
mine kepted coming off.. Its mainly cuz the hose gets hard and the compression ring thing doesnt keep it in place... a good fix is ti just take the hose to a auto store n get a same diameter hose + length to fit.. should cost no more than $2-4
I had the same issue the other day. The car ended up in Lexus Northside and I lost $1700.. They replaced the charcoal canister plus VSV valve. Also try to check the connectors in emission system. The CEL didn't go away after charcoal canister n VSV vakve was replaced. But finally it was gone after they cleaned up emissions connector. God luck!
