Well, I guess I've been driving a bit harder with the poopura turblow rear end...and managed to tear the transmission mount. I lifted car, pushed up on the transmission ...and it moved quite freely

So I've been looking for the part number for the tranny mount but which one is it? I think it's "1237150200 INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNTING, REAR NO.1" per Sewellparts.com.


^diagram looks like what I need but the description says 'engine mounting" and I can't tell which way the engine is facing in that diagram.

Could someone confirm which part number it is?

 

That is the correct part number for the 98-00 GS400. There is only one transmission mount anyways so it wouldn't matter which way the diagram was facing.

I expanded my search to the 2GS classifieds and found out that 53630-30250 is the correct part number.

 

Are you sure? That part number relates to the hood release cable...

 

dang it. I've been shopping for a hood cable also and copied-pasted the wrong part number. iFAIL.

these work on the V8's, not 100% sure bout the I6

 

12371 is the tranny mount.
