Default transmission mount replacement

to anyone who has seemingly excessive engine/transmission vibration on their SC300, check this out:

as you can see, the original mount was completely worn out, and the transmission was sagging about 1/2", allowing the mount to be metal on metal (causing the vibration).

12371-46020
INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNTING, REAR NO.1
(W/ ATM - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION)
In Stock $46.00

i got this from sewell lexus for ~40 bucks cheaper than it was at my local dealer... crazy.

Default Great pics

I just changed the transmission mount on my '92 sc400, same one as sc300.

I had bad vibrations at 35-40 mph, then again at 60-70 and above 90 it got a little scary.

Completely gone after changing the mount.

Part from the lexus dealer...........66$

Smile on my face.........priceless

Yup, I've always advocated for every SC owner to change this mount regardless how 'new' or 'smooth' you think your ride is. The difference is night and day for such an easy/cheap replacement..!

i'm looking to buy a new trans mount for my SC3 but on Sewell website it doesn't give me a choice to choose the manual instead of the auto trans mount. http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...C300-1993.html

i'm pretty sure the 5spd mount is:
12371-46040

whenever you lookup parts like this, use toyo-diy.com (WITHOUT THE DASH) and type in your VIN.

and check out this specific post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/4181873-post35.html
he confirms the OE # is the same as the one i posted above for you.

do you think the n/a mk4 MT supra has the same trans mount as the MT SC300? the reason i ask is b/c the Toyota dealership is closer to me than the Lexus dealer (1 hour drive).

Does anyone have a pic of what a 5spd tranny mount looks like? Also are the mounting bolts on the bottom the same as the auto?

I suggest calling them for the part number, cause when I ordered mine, it was a different part number on their website under the correct year/model car I have and they didn't have any idea of the glitch until I told them.
