I've done some searching on here about the various questions when it comes to tail lights but i've yet to find the answer to my question. I own a 99' gs400 and i just bought the infamous Sonar LED lights, my question is what wires am i going to need to splice because obviously it's not quite so much plug and play with these style of tail lights and wire harness. If this has been posted, awesome, i'm sorry to waste your time i just need to be pointed in the right direction.

 

Why isnt it a plug and play? The harness doesnt fit? or lighting not working properly? I've heard of wiring problems due to the difference between the 98-00 and the 01+, but never heard of the plugs not working. And yea, theres a write up for that.

 

mine was plug and play. it was pretty simple to install besides the cooling plates

 

I'll give it a shot today to see if it's just that easy, from all the things i was reading it appeared it wasn't quite so easy but i'll give it a shot later and see what happens.

there is no answer to your search because as everyone already mentioned, its Plug & Play

 

I have a 2000 GS with sonars and they were just plug and play for me...

 

Wait wait wait.... Are you saying that you havent attempted the install yet? You're suppose to try then fail before asking such a detailed question

 

I think he failed before trying it happens to me sometimes too, with these cars sometimes I am to delicate I gotta remember its just like any other car toyota etc
