Default URGENT!! Help needed w/ Fuel Pump

I was changing my fuel filter, and when I unclipped it this piece of wire became disconnected. Where does it connect to? Thanks.

Thanks I went and tried it, but theres no way for it be mounted there. Im thinking it is mounted on the side, and is the trigger for the gas light to come on when its low, but I dont want to force it into the slot without knowing first.

It clips on the side of the pump assembly. It's a spare ground, as a backup. Look at the outer most part of the top part of the hanger. It just clips on the very outside that makes contact with the gas tank.
