GS300 replaced fuel pump car still wont start
History:
I was driving down the freeway 1/8 of tank of gas and the car acts like it runs out of gas.
I get the car towed to a shop they take a look at things and tell me the fuel pump is bad. So i decide Im going to replace it myself i order a new pump, filter, and bag filter. Install it and the car just cranks but doesnt want to start. I swap a EFI Relay to see if this is the issue and nothing still wont start. I am lost now.
Any help i appreciated
Thank you

How much fuel is in your tank? I had the same issue replaced the damn pump thinking it was bad. Installed the new pump and it wouldn't start. Turns out the tank was bone dry on the pump side. I was going by the gauge on the dash. I never let my tank get below past 1/4 tank.

Is there enough fuel in the tank so the sock filter is submerged? I would remove the back seat and listen for the fuel pump is coming on while the you turn the key to the on position. Here's a link it shows how to diagnose the fuel pump. Good luck on fixing your issue.

Do you have a check engine light? Also check your battery it may be weak. Mine went bad, because I tried to crank it so many times and kept jumping after it went dead. At this point it could be anything not letting the car start. Example crank sensor, no spark, maf sensor, immobilizer issue.

When you try to start the car. Does the security red light blink or is it off? You might have a immobilzer issue. Another thing to look for is the fuel damper on the fuel rail. It looks like I little mushroom with a small screw on top center. If the screw is popping up you have fuel pressure. If it's not and flush with the damper top you have no fuel pressure.

Check your intake hoses and intake plastic after the maf sensor, especially by the ribbed part. If theres a crack, then the computer will not see the increased air flow coming in and begin running the car super lean and eventually shut off. It may be minute, but its enough to throw the ecu off. The hose I'm pointing at here shows the fitting that broke off on mine. I had the same problems and couldnt figure it out, I then saw the hose just hanging there and was like wtf? I fixed the fitting and installed the hose back on and she started up [after resetting the ecu by removing batter cables overnight]

Can you physically hear the pump when you turn the key?? There "is" truth to tlts post. On my way to the station wifeys gs crapped out. got it towed back to the house and the stupid thing fired right up....must've been the car being tilted at such a weird angle. I went back to the gas station filled the tank and the car's been fine ever since. Put more gas in the tank. Cycle the pump a few times or starting fluid. There should be a valve on the fuel rail push and see if the car is even getting gas..
