How'z it CL members! Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. Comin from the Bay Area and first time Lexus Owner, was into the whole import street/drag scene but now I just wanna ride low & slow.

I just bought a '01 GS300 Black & Tan 2weeks ago after I got into an accident with my EJ1 (that was my last draw with Hondas). So as far as attempting anything on the new whip (avoiding from breaking anything) I would like to ask for your guys help!

1. I know this question may sound common but it's slightly different. How do you remove the box compartment from the center armrest compartment? The hinges on the lid are loose and it keeps popping open and I wanted to tight them but not sure how to access under it.

2. I want to install an iPod/iPhone integration kit to the car but not lose the use of my CD player/changer. it's a factory radio non NAV. Is it possible to add a toggle switch to where I can switch power from the player/changer to the iPod/iPhone vice versa?

Thanks CL members for your help and advice! I'm looking foward to making mods to the whip.

Welcome to CL. Make sure to check out the NorCal regional forum. A lot of basic info you need can also be found by meeting up with the locals at our "Certified" meets. Tons of knowledgeable people and once in a while we have a few cars show up.

No you didn't.

1. Center Console Removal #6, #7, & #8

THEN remove the two bolts in the bottom of the arm rest compartment. The compartment will pull out. Slightly opening and closing the arm rest while removing the compartment helps get it out. Now you can remove or adjust the arm rest bolts. (center counsel removal)

2. How To: Build and Hardwire an Auxillary Input to OEM Stereo
