1999 GS3 Cd Changer Error Code

1999 GS3 Cd Changer Error Code
Has anyone had issues with there stock GS Cd Changer. I just bought the car and i hit "cd" while nothing was in there and it read "err 2" I believe. Then I put a cd in slot 4 and pushed the holder back in the changer and cd's shuffled and on the screen it read cd 4 but no sound was coming and no tracks were playing. Wondering whats wrong, everything else works fine so i would like to fix without having to go aftermarket. Any help would be well appreciated, maybe theres a trick or two you guys or gals know on here!
