new key...flip style
Ok, just stumbled upon a locksmith and he is doin it for $45 as we speak.
Edit: Key is done and works 100%. He did not make it shorter and yes as noted, if you want to use the wipers on full speed, you have to pull the steering wheel out more if you keep it flush against the dash like me.
My only concern is not messing it up by having too much weight on it (other keys and key chain).

I got mine cut over the weekend from my local lexus dealership and its great. Just wished i would have cut down the length a little. I was hoping lexus would have done it, but i should have known better. Anyhow it turned out great and i only paid $10 to get it cut.
hey if you guys are looking for a replacement shell dinodirect has it for about 6 bucks!
but just like the flip key you would have to cut it, unless you macgyver it some how..

I can't believe i waited 16 pages to finally respond to this..
It's a effin key people!! I can not understand why so much importance has been discussed on this. More negatives than plusses (IMHO) but people keep trying to justify it's usefulness.
Dudes seriously! Your car is either 11 to 5 years old and the frigging key is the last of your worries. As long as it starts is good enough for me. Why "mod" something that is soo trivial as a damn eBay key ring?..
Just had to vent on how irrelevant this thread has become..
let the flaming begin..
