^ His steering wheel is probably set higher than yours. Try moving the wheel up a bit.

I DO NOT recommend this kind. There is a spring that makes the key pop out and only 1 screw to hold the whole thing together. It causes a gap where the key flips out. It works, but just not perfect. ALSO, the transponder is too far away from the chip by the ignition so I have to collapse the key so the transponder is closer to the ignition for it to start.

Also it cost like 13 dollars at my local Lexus dealership to cut the key. Good luck.
Well i just read through this thread and have a question. Well first of all i order the key above awhile back and just got it cut today. i didnt shorten it and just got it cut and i switched out the guts. now my problem is that the transponder is to far away. is there anything i can do to amplifly the signal buy any chance. i even tried collapsing the key while turning still to far. maybe a new battery. or will i have to just go back to my old key or get the other brand off ebay.

i just started the car by using the old blade with my transponder from the new key close to the igniton so i know thats what it is. just tryin to figure if i wasted my money on this and have to get another and cut the key shorter first.

What are my options??

lol i didn't cut my key but because i have remote start installed on the car there is already a module in there so it doesn't matter how far away my fob is from the ignition.
