floss or fishing line then use some adhesive mover to get the remaining gunk off.
I leave just the emblem.

There is a thread on this. My car has some leftover residue that won't come off. I'm going to repaint my trunk.

you probably don't need to repaint your trunk, most likely a good detailer can wet-sand the trunk to get rid of the residue.

i just used a blow dryer to heat the adhesive first and then just used dental floss to take of the emblems...
i used goo gone to take of the adhesive and then just polished/waxed it after.

What have you tried to remove it? I'd start with something like googone or 3M adhesive remover, then go to a polish or claybar if that doesn't work. Take it to a pro detailer like ZippyGuy said if you can't get it yourself.

Tape around the area, spray "easy off", leave it for a minute or two then proceed to remove with a terry towel or rag. You may have to wax the area afterwards. I did this to remove pin stripes off of my 240sx a year or so ago and it worked like a champ!
Good luck!
