Electrical Problem?? Please help~!
Hi all,
I had something very strange that happened to me 3 times in the past 24 hours.
When I am driving down the road, my radio would suddenly shut off and my dashboard guage would suht off for a 1/2 second. Then the radio would come back on and the guage would start up again.
There was no stall or anything as the engine was still running, but it scared me like crazy when the guage was blacked out and I couldn't read anything on it. However, the temperature/fan section was good at all times.
Is it a possible battery corrosion? Or has anyone experienced something similar before? It didn't make sense to me, as there was no prior signals of any electrical problems.

I just called Lexus and asked. They mentioned it might be the tailight relay or the 7.5V fuse. I have no idea where the tailight relay is so I can't check that one.
And not planning to take it to stealership if it's an easy fix by other mechanics.

have you checked the electrical system? battery? alternator?
ne power surges besides this?

It happened again last night, this time, since it was dark out...... I noticed that my lights all go off (HIDs, fogs), and most likely tail lights and all.
I think this might be a small problem, but it's hella annoying, especially driving at night on roads with limited street lights .
