Talking 2Mph (2 Mods an hour)

Hey fellow GS'ers.

I finally had decent weather this weekend to do some Mods on my GS4. I installed Polarg M6's to replace the DTRL's, which took about 30 minutes, would have been quicker if I didn't have such "Big Hands". I also modified my fog lights by removing the amber/yellow sheild around the bulb. That took about 15 minutes. Not bad for a Mod "Virgin"!
.
It looks great !
I should have done this sooner!
.
I took some pics, but I'm not sure how good they will turn out. They were taken with my digital camcorder, and we all know that digital camcorder still pic's suck. I gotta get a digital camera soon!

Happy Motoring.

Last night I turned my grill to chrome and it took me about 3 hours to do it. It was my first mod!

Kool, Yoda

How do you like it. That will probably be my next Mod.
Do you recommend any specific products to take the paint off.
I think I have read on the forums about some solvent you can get from Home Depot or Lowes.

I don't think I will do any major mod's, like exhaust systems, chips, after market stereo/nav or new braking systems. I guess I am conservative when compared to some of the guys/girls on the forum.

I Love My GS4 just the way it is.

Default Leave now!

Richie – do a SEARCH – you’ll find mucho posts about how and what to use – seems several different techniques all result in the same result, a cool chrome grille.

And you say “just the way it is” HAH, fat chance.

If you don’t want to mod … Leave! Get out now, while you can. Log off and never return. If you keep on visiting this addictive, cult menace called CL, someday, when you least expect it, something slithers under your conscious awareness and grows … and grows … and grows.

And pretty soon, you’re buying all kinds of $hit.

This from a "recovering" notgonnamodit.

Why did you want to get rid of the Yellow Fogs???
I like the yellow and Blue ...it sets the GS Apart..

LOL !!!!!

Garnet92 and GS4Fun - Thanks for the laugh.

And, I think you may be correct on this one, but I only plan to do minor Mod's. I know I won't have the money to do any major Mod's anyway with plans of buying/building a new house this year and the wife wants a MB CLK after that. I also have been eyeing an Kawasaki ZX-7R for weekend fun. But the voices inside my head keep telling me to log on to CL and do these things to my GS! TELL THEM TO STOP !

We'll see :-)

Later Pedal Mashers !

I'm in the exact same boat as you are. I am also planning on doing minor mods but I will have trouble resisting. First was the chrome grill, next I want HIDs, then the black wood trim, etc. etc. etc......

My wife and I are building a house right now. She wants stainless steel appliances, I want chrome rims! Plus she's stuck in a Cirrus and wants to upgrade to a new A4 or 3 series.

As for the chrome grill it looks awesome. I picked up a jug of Citristrip from Home Depot. It works fine, my only suggestion would be to have "patience young Jedi." I was in such a hurry to see how cool it would look that I didn't let the remover do it's work. It took me about 2 hours to do the first 1/3 and about an hour to finish the rest (after I got my head out of my a$$). I used Q-Tips to apply the gel and a plastic knife to scrape the paint. You'll love it.
