Has anyone done this mod before? Links below.

I've done this mod to my 98 Nissan Maxima before, and it looked great, but was wandering if any one has thought about this before?

Looks like a good afternoon project if you know what you're doing!

Yeah be very careful. I took electronics at Votech while in high school (intership/training) and was 1st. in the State of Michigan for complex circuit building. Circuit boards in commercial applications are soldered by machines that are very precise and the pieces (transistors, diodes, resistors, etc...) are so close that the human hand expecially if haven't had a lot of practice CAN'T duplicate. If the solder from one diode to another diode touch (or transistor or any other other component) touch (name in electronis is bridge) then it won't work. When I mean touch its much easier to show you then tell you, because if you solder and then use your solder sucker to get must of the excess solder then it will work, just don't leave a clunck, and I don't mean a big clunck all it takes is a nice clean bridge. Think to water drops touching. The heat of your solder gun can be very extreme. No two really work the same. I have used some that really don't work and others that will burn a hole in the circuit board if it touches for more than a few seconds (2 seconds to be exact). Heat + electronic components = Not good.
Looks cool be careful. Let us know how it turns out if you decide to do it.
