Hi everyone I just joined these forums...just sold my 99TL http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showt...732&highlight= and picked up 98 Gs300 ...I am car crazy and will start modification ASAP. I might need some help from you guys not fimiliar with Lexus parts whole lot! i have silve Gs 300 excellent condidion bought a car from its first owner and will post pics soon....I already have complete Kenwood Navi and Tvs an banging sound system set up which i will be installing it in a week and will post pics..for now i need little help here please!

1: When car is running lights are on, if i press on brakes or any interior lights, headlight blink a little as well inside lights blink just a little? is that battery is going or alternator is not giving enough power and is going? any Suggestions please? i have to fix that before i install the sound system

2 When I lock the doors from remote Everything Locks but driverside lock. I have manually lock and unlock the door?

3 Where Can i get notvery expensivecomplete Lip kit for the car?

4 There is a little plate which goes inside the gear shifter that is not there..when i change from park to drive i can see a big hole and theres no plate in side like every shifter should have...previous owner i think i might have forgot to put it back after cleaning...so iwhere can i get that...

2.most likely ur door actuator
3."not very expensive" is out of the question..all REAL kits are expensive..alot of replicas around if you wanna go that route

in #4, it seems he's talking about where the screwdriver goes to move the shifter.

 

yes its a plate inside the shift box which moves while you change from Park to drive..its missing...so i can see inside the shift box

#1. usually that is the alternator, if the alternator weak it will make the exterior or interior light dim on & off. When was the last time you had an alternator replace.?
#2. most likely it is DOOR ACTUATOR..
#3. the only way to get inexpensive lip is to MAKE IT YOURSELF...
#4. Manual shift slot...Check dealer to be exact....

 

i justgot this carcouple days ago..it drive like a dream extreamly clean from aperson I know....i amsure alternator was not changed.....i willget that checked out frommymechanic....what exactly and whreisthe door actuator? can i replace it my self

Door Actuator is locate on middle of the door on side where the door and pillar post meet..Let me see if I can post with some pix to help you out...
