Default Need HELP!

my new gs300 hs a few probs, probibly why im got it cheap. but my stock radio's lcd is messed up but everythin else works. and my drivers door unlockes with the remote, but cant lock with it. i have to manually lock it everytime. any suggestions? thanks movaaa

welcome..
your problems don't seem too serious.
u can find a replacement for your radio in our classifieds secton for cheap as many members switch to aftermarket ones.(u might want to consider that too)
the lock problem might be your actuator. (known to go bad with the GSs)

The early 98, 99, and 00 GS radios have a common problem with the LCDs going out--my 99 had this problem (started off with a few pixels, then more started going out). I ended up finding a 2003 GS radio (different, very reliable LCD manufacturer, a more linear ALS (auto volume system), has RDS capability, and has a smoother overall sound than the early GS radios) for a direct drop-in replacement. I did have to get a wiring adapter harness for the 03 radio (different plug in the back) though to interface with the 99 GS factory wiring harness. Works great.
