There would be no point in going with an hid kit if you already have factory hid's. You can just replace the bulbs you have now with the appropriate replacement bulb in the temperature your after. I'm sure you already know this as it's all over the forum but by going to a higher temperature bulb (i.e- different color) you are going to lose actual usable light output, in other words, those 8000k's your looking at are going to be a pretty blue color but will put less light "on the road" then the current 4300k bulbs you have now.

ugh. these guys again.

ebay vendors who steal CL members pictures to sell their goods

How do I know? the GS with the pink lights halfway down the page is mine.

with regards to swapping out the d2r bulbs, you just need bulbs, no kit is necessary.

Good luck!

maybe I should offer a deal on D2R bulbs??

c.

First time doing this Newbie:
um is there a special way of replacing the oem hid bulbs or is it the same way as just replacing a normal halogen bulb?

It's a little tricky to replace the bulbs. You have to take the Outer plastic seal off turn counterclockwise. You will see a silver cover take it off by pushing to the side and pulling out (has a clip on both sides). Then there is a clip that holds the bulb in there. You have to push them together in then pull around and out. Pics obviously would help, you can probably do this without them but if you don't feel confident do a search this has been covered w/pics.
