Hello. I am looking to replace the headlights on my 98 GS4 (I have HIDs) and have a few questions. Will all years fit on my 98? Is there a leveling motor that is needed as well? How many headlight styles are available for HID and does anyone have close-up pics showing the color differences? Yes, I did search. Thanks in advance.

all years fit. if u have hid headlights, just replace it with another hid headlight. The leveling motor is already on the headlight.

The only difference is that the 01+ headlights have a green tint on the shroud

there are several kinds actually

pure chrome, green tint chrome, sport design titanium, dark chrome, sport design black chrome. the first 2 are the most common, the sport design ones are rare, and the dark chrome was only for 99 i believe (at least that's what i have)

hrm..dark chrome? Do you have a picture of that? I've never seen dark chrome before. In fact, my 99 headlight is exactly the same as my friend's 98 GS300. Very interesting

green tint are from 01+ i believe

now don't quote me on the dark chrome / 99 headlights. that's what i heard and personally i haven't been able to confirm. it's has darker chrome than some other headlights i have seen (including 99 and 00 that i was able to compare side by side). it's no where close to black chrome headlights from the sport design, but it's darker than the "pure" chrome i saw on some others

it's probably useful only if pictures are taken with the cars side by side
