Default Suggestions?! PEarl WHite GS

I recently bought this '03 Gs and i love it. Its a GS300 and i used to have the LS400, but this car is still great. Im thinking of lowering it with eibach lowering kit. DO i need to upgrade anything else or will the kit be enough? The drop says it is 1". Will this be enough of a difference once it settles? AHHH! Any opinions matter! The rims are 20" by 8.5 front and rear.

welcome to CL. yes that thing is BEGGING to be lowered. eibach is not a bad kit at all for just springs..but dudes will be coming in here soon to advise you about changing out your struts as well or will tell you to go with coilovers.

Is it bad if i don't upgrade my shocks? Will it hurt the car or just make for a less desirable ride? Coilovers are great, but i dont race my car around and i want the most comfortable ride possible with lowering. THANKS FOR THE WELCOME!!!

I would definetly upgrade the shocks. Your stocks are made to run with the stock springs. In the long run depending on how much you drive the stock shocks will blow out and the ride will be horrible. Check your PM box..

dont let these dudes drive you absolutely WILD about that eibach spring only kit bro if thats all youve got right now.. the ride might not be AS desirable as stock but my bros been riding around with just the eibach pro kit springs and his stock struts for the past 3 yrs/60k miles and his car is still riding fine. ive got the l tuned s/s combo and its honestly not far off from that as far as ride quality is concerned, even after 3 years. just do me a favor and dont dune race that **** or try hitting up the dirt rally courses the scoobies play on with all the mountains and craters. youll be fine.

$$ just springs-car will look better, but may ride bouncy because shocks are not made for stiffer spring rates.

$$$ change springs and get bilstein hd shocks-car will look and ride sportier, where ever car settles is how stance will be.

$$$$ get tein cs coilovers-car will ride smooth, yet more controlled and will feel like it should've stock, with controlled rebound and you can adjust ride height to wherever you want and you have an adjustment for dampening firmness.

I went thru the same thing. At first, I just wanted to lowered the car a bit. After doing more resreach, I decided to change the shocks as well to save me the trouble of having to pay for labor again. I went with Eibach prokit and Bilstein sport. I am very happy with it so far. I would consider it's an improvement on both the ride and handling (on 17" stock).

that's interesting because the bilstein sports are even stiffer than the hd.
