Just installed my Eibach Pro a few days ago. Drop was good. Ride quality however, is more harsh than the sports suspension. You could totally notice over bigger bumps. The car sounds like it is taking the pounding. I don't want a sqeaky car after a few months

For all those with Eibach, does the ride gets better after when the springs fully settle? It is pretty stiff now but I am hoping it will soften up a bit. I have 2 weeks to decide if I want to switch it back with my sports suspension.

Any inputs?

 

I dont have the eibach's on my IS but I had eibachs on my old car.. no the ride doesn't get better.. it settles after time and gets worse. lol go get yourselves some coilovers dude.

i had coilovers on my old eclipse and that's the reason i won't ever lower my daily driver again. a luxury car isn't meant to be dropped imo. i hated the squeaking that would occur after adjusting my coilovers. shocks also wear out faster as well as tires if you don't have a camber kit and alignment. i say go back to your sports suspension.

I personally felt like the Eibachs rode better than my Lux pack, but each to his own.

 

I found it to be pretty much the same as stock.

 

I can't imagine why you would have tried the Eibachs at all if you are so sensitive to ride quality. I couldn't tell any difference at all in firmness when I went from the standard springs to the ProKit. I don't know of any other option that would be a smaller change in ride quality than what you have. Coilovers would certainly be more agressive than what you have.

Are you running on OEM sized tires? Are the roads poor where you live?

This is good info. I was considering aftermarket even though I have the sport suspension. Think I'll stick with the sport suspension. Thanks for sharing.

 

I don't get anyone would think lowering springs = LEXUS quality ride? Lexus has some of the smoothest rides, I would never expect a set of eibachs to match the smoothness, I'm surprised some people said it was the same as the normal springs. I would expect it to be at least as stiff as the Sports suspension.

Tanabe has "Normal Feeling" lowering springs whatever that means. And there are the Tein Comfort Sports but again I would expect them to be 'soft' as far as aftermarket goes, so I don't think you will ever find a drop with a Lexus quality ride :\

 

Thats odd. Me and others that have rode on the car cudnt feel a difference between stock and eibachs. It just gives a lower stance and just a wee bit better handling which is an added bonus to me.

 

Over expansion joints in the freeway, the Eibach in my opinion actually performs better.

 

I will be going from sport to eibachs very soon, springs are in transit *i think* and in march i'll be heading to the stealership for the F-tuned shocks/sway and maybe the brace *if the price is ok* too
