Make sure the starter works perfectly! (I learned this the hard way, I dropped $1000 (Canadian) 2 days after buying the car )

Make sure all the door locks work when operated by the remote

The 90k service probably hasn't been done and it will cost you around $1000

Bring it to a local Lexus dealership and pay to have the top of the line inspection done on it. Be sure to have them do a compression test, the whole 9 yards.

Good luck!

cant agree with socal more, pay for the inspection, if the seller wont allow you to take for the pre-inspection, walk away. Trust me on this one, I have learned the hard way and it cost me some cash...

Oh if the car is AT Lexus then your fine. They put those cars through 100+point inspections before putting them on their lot. If any of the cars fail a certain number of tests then they just run them through the auctions and let those corner dealerships buy them.

Your in good hands if the dealership is a actual LEXUS dealer, not some dealership that sells 'luxury' vehicles.

Good luck!

If it is at a delaer they should be willing to show you the inspection report without any trouble. they probably also would have fixed anything that was obviously wrong with the car.

The price seems about right for a delaership but you could always try to negotiate a bit, especially if it is not fresh stock. At the least, you could probably get some oil changes or maybe upgraded NAV software.

agreed haggle with them a bit, dont seem too eager about it though, if you feel you can pass on the car then throw out a low number and see what they tell you, you should be able to haggle them down quite a bit.

Yes they should fix everything at lexus, I picked up my GS3 from a lexus dealership that went through the whole 9 yards and I haggled them down also,

I have a 99 GS3 with Navigation, heated seats, and HID's had 109K miles on it when I picked it up, they replaced some door actuators o2 sensor and also did the 90K service fresh oil change and they were asking for 18K

I walked out with it for 12,9, it can be done, be nit picky. the thing that helped me out the most was pointing out the fact the headlights were "defective" of course we all know about the moisture build up and I was going to fix them anyway.
