i have a 2001 GS430... my spoiler seems... loose... is this a normal issue, or can something be done to fix it??
Do you have a third brake light in your rear window (in addition to the one in your spoiler)? If so, the spoiler was added on at the dealer and most likely can be tightened from inside the trunk. If you do not have a brake light in the window, I agree with the previous poster that you would need to have the brackets re-revited to the trunk. Hope this helps.
To access the bracets first open the trunk and look under the sides of the spoiler that slump over the sides of the quarter panels. There will be a cover that is color matched that you can pop off. Once you carefully remove the covers you will see Phillips head screws that also except a long Flat head screw driver (2 on each side).
If the center of your spoiler is what 'seems' loose then don't bother. I had a spoiler on my GS and it seems that all of the factory spoilers do that due to them being hallow in the center. I did notice a little play on my spoiler and attempted to tighten the bolts and they wouldn't move on inch, so I just took it off haha.
