for some reason when my gas tank runs low my gas warning light does not come on.tried it twice cos i don't like letting it go past quarter tank but can someone tell me at what level the needle is at when their warning light comes on?
i have let mine run to the E level but it does not come on. does that men it has to completely go beyong the E before it comes on. or is my bulb blown?or maybe a fuse?

 

I don't know if it varies from different year models but I have a 2001 GS3 and mine comes on at about halfway between a 1/4 tank and E. I was actually surprised because I had a 1999 ES3 before and it used to come on closer to the E.

 

.....never heard or seen that before. every car i have seen either lights up when guage hits E or sometimes below E.

 

My light comes on just above E, a little less then half way to 1/4...

how do i take out the instrument cluster guage.?
and what size is the bulb?

 

on my 2001 gs430 the low gas light comes on at 1/4 tank. I thought it was strange before cause every other car i had came on at 1/8. Guess they want to warn you early.

I've got a 02 GS430, and mine comes on when the needle is touching the E. I think the light comes on when you've got like, 3 gallons left in the tank.

 

yup, mine comes on when the needle almost touches E as well

even at that level, the car actually still has like 3 gallons of gas in it as precaution. but you should get gas anyway by then
