so i havent seen my gas light come on since i picked up my SC . it could just be the bulb is bad but i dont like to run on empty either. but in case it happens i would like to know if the light should be coming on with the needle is reaching the bar right above the "E" or is the needle supposed to drop below that bar and get down to the actual "E"

Same issue here... The day i picked it up the light went on because it was low. I filled it up and its gone way down before but i havent seen the light since. Whats worse is that now my cluster is full of dead spots where i cant see ish.

 

Still no help comin...same prob here, I've had my lex for about a year and have never seen my gas light come on at all, and i've run it down to nothing before just to see if it'd come on. It's gotta be a factory bulb prob I think, since my fuses and wiring are fine.

 

Lol, I just noticed the last part of your post....my cluster has been faulty since I got it...I've been reluctant to take my sc to get the cluster fixed since on occassion my needles actually flicker, which makes me think the LED's for my needles are dying...the backlight for my spedometer, tach and gas gauge are all completely lit though.

 

well how low does the gas needle get before the light would have come on . its my first sc so i dont know

 

Another question is how much gas there is when the light comes on, mine does.

 

Mine comes on when the needle gets down to the bottom "E" line but there is still 3-4 gallons in the tank...

 

my light came on like under the E. dono how much is left tho

 

Iv seen the light a few times here. but iv never put more then 17 gallons into the car when i fill up. So there has to be 3 gallons left before that 20 gallon tank is empty.

 

thats what ive been looking for ^^^. the other thread i had found is sayin we should have 3-4 gallons at that point

 

Mine turns on at the beginning of the E, the most i have ever driven when the light was on was it BARELY on the bottom line of the E after that i got scared and filled it up.

 

my light comes on right under the last line. i drove 20 miles with the light on and then went and filled up 19.5 gallons. i never knew the tank was so big lol
