Default Code:P1350

I just got back from Auto Zone and this is the code that it came up with. P1350- Misfiring. He did not tell me anymore. Was wandering if anyone else had this problem before I take it to the lex dealership. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

O.K this is what I found about the code: P1350
VVT Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2)
Could I just reset the ECU and see if the code is still there??

yes, reset it and see if it comes back immediately.

the obd scanners that autozone use to give you the fault codes are just as accurate as the ones you buy at walmart for $40. they cannot tell you anything further because they probably wouldn't know any better if they were using a $3,000+ scanner. autozone gives you simple codes, because they wanna sell you simple answers that don't fix problems.

i have so many customers who say "but autozone told me this and that," well i hate to say, but most of the time, autozone is wrong. take your car to the dealer, or to a reputable mechanic for a diagnostic test before doing any type of repairs to your car.

Hey man,

I will be home at about 9pm tonight and I can check my lexus service manual and see what the tests are and what needs done to check/fix/replace.

Send me a PM with your phone number if u won't be online then and I can read it to you.

Jonny

I pulled the ECU fuse for 45 mins. to an hour but the code is still there. I called lexus and they said that if i was to bring it in that they'll have to check all the coils.

I had some help from Jonny (DX3)which confirmed the symptoms and I'm going to get the code cleared with an OBDII scanner and I think that will solve it. If it doesn't then off to the dealer I go.

The car runs fine, I hear a slight knock ever so often but I think that might be my imagination.

I will update Monday when I clear the code and see if that resolves it(remain off).

Sorry for the long write up.

So do you think this is this a direct result of the new exhaust or is it just a coincidence?

the misfire code shoudln't have nothing to do with an exhaust its just one of the cylinder banks isnt firin correctly, it should either be retarded ECU or bad plugs mabe? bad wires or coil, or mabe a vavle cover leak? or if incase that bad headgasket? compression? but i doubt its can be that serious unless ur foot is heavy. GLuck~

bank 2?
bank 2,4,6 are coil but if u sayin ur car doesnt even have a slight shake or rumble it aint reall tmissfiring? not even the slightest rumble? or sound like its stutterin or somthing?

The code is not for misfiring. It is his VVT sensor.

Default p1350 Misfire GS 400

I am getting the same code and went ahead replaced both vvti sensors with original parts.
The CEL comes on immediately after I have it checked. I am going to be replacing the valve cover gaskets and plugs at that time but was hoping to get more feedback as to other potential issues.

Did you ever fix your problem? If so please share feedback as I am having the same issue.
