Default driver side window issues

I'm going to look at my fellow members on CL before seaking a shop to fix my problem.

What has started out as wind noise has turned into more I think. Now my entire window seems to "shift" forward when rolled up all the way. I can let the window roll completely up and then place my hands on both sides of the glass and pull the window towards the rear of the car. Once I do that, I can no longer see the gap from the tint on the window and the wind noise is gone.

Before I take the door panel off to see if something looks "unordinary" any suggestions? I have sprayed WD-40 inside the window tracks to help the window go up and down easier. My concern is that the window has came off of the "track" or "motor" somehow inside the door.

I welcome all suggestions as I am going to dedicate some time tomorrow to find this issues. Any help as to what to look for, would just make the time easier. Please let me know.

Thanks guys!

I have the same issue. I replaced the window channel and it seemed to lessen the problem. IT still exists after i replaced the window channel. I think the tracks may be loose. I haven't taken the door apart yet to check on it.

Let me know what you find.

I had the same exact issue on my '98 gs4. I hated smudging my window, pushing it back in place to stop the wind noise. Sometimes the widow would go all the way up and then back down when I used the auto-up. Luckily this was during the cold winter season. The funny thing is, the window fixed itself and stopped doing it a couple weeks later. The only issue Ive had with my '01 gs430 ds window is that it is significantly louder than the other three.

Default Fixed

It appears that the problem was that the window moulding closest to the driver side mirror had come out of its track. Once I realized this and fixed it, everything is perfect! It solved a lot of wind noise that I was experiencing as well.

Car is up for sale!
