Default 98 GS400 - Problem (windshield)

hey fellas

i was driving in the rain last nite and when the windshield was wet, the traffic lights/ headlights from oncoming traffic produced glare toward my windshield. Kinda hard to explain, but the lights were like (laser beams) heading toward my car and it makes it hard to see out of the windshield. Any of you guys have this problem in your gs? I showed my dad and he got freaked out because he said that it made looking out of the windshield almost impossible.

* i have no cracks nor pits in my windshield...

Thanks!

You know, when I first got my '01 GS I had the same issue. Not sure how or where it came from, I think it had something to do with how the car was detailed before delivery. Anyway. I had the strangest film of something on all interior glass. It caused this very same issue, powerful glares at night. It took me 3 thorough scrubbings with Windex to remove it and it left a grayish color on all of the cloths. It wasn't nicotine or anything like that, it was so even on the glass it was almost like it had been sprayed on. Never did find out what it was but it's gone now and so are the annoying night time glares.

thats why i never use armorall on my dashboard... basically waht happs is that the heat evaporates the chemcials and it rises and sticks onto your window... so when u rub it it just smears etc... u get a lot of glare..

Funny thing for me is that without the tint, I have a lot of glare. With the tint, its SOO much better. Almost like having on sunglasses.

Don't use Armorall on anything inside your car. Terrible product, actually shortens the life of the vinyl. Leaves too much gloss and acts as a dust magnet because of the greasey residue. There are a number of fine products for cleaning and preserving interior vinyl surfaces, 303 Aerospace Protectant is one of my favorites. 303 is a water based product that does not contain harmful petroleum solvents or silicone oils. It restores lost color and luster and makes aging vinyl look new again. 303 Aerospace treated surfaces repel dust, dirt, oils, tree sap & oil-based stains.

Leaves a natural, non-greasy, satin finish.

Well, thank-you. I just wish they would give me the stuff free. But, nahh, I just like the product.
