range of your keyless entry?
it seems as if i have to be right next to the car for it to work. i changed the battery out on the key, but made no difference. on the is300, i could be halfway to africa and it will work. any suggestions or is this regular for a 98 gs4?

It is killing me to have 3 sweet wheels sitting in my garage and I can't put them on. I will shoot you a PM to discuss.

I tried the key to the chin trick and unlocked the car from so far away that....as I grabbed the door handle it locked itself. Which is 30 seconds of walking. I was at a 90 degree angle of the drivers side with a clear view in the parking lot.
It sure seems the range is directly related to what angle you are to the car.

On my 98 GS4, you literally had to be right on top of the car in order for it to work (I would say within 5-10 feet or so). On my 99, the range is much better (approx. 30-40 feet). I don't know why the 99 is better, because I don't think any changes were made. It seems pretty random to me.

Ok, its not that bad, but the range definitely is limited to within a few feet at best most of the time....
